'Laforet Hakone Gora Yunosumika Aya-kan' was built as an annex to the adjacent Laforet Hakone Gora.
All rooms are equipped with an open-air bath and a dog-friendly room, and the hotel aims to allow both people and animals to experience the charms of Hakone through all five senses.
The lobby was designed with a minimal space for a smart check-in, so that guests can feel the condensed materials of Hakone close at hand. The cypress log in the center of the lobby and the solid boards on the walls were made from wood that would have been discarded when the property was demolished, and are placed throughout the guest rooms. In addition, Komatsu stones that came out of the ground are abundantly placed in the garden and furniture.
By bringing back to life what was born in the area, I believe I have created the "unique and one-of-a-kind landscape that will be loved for a long time," which is what I always aim for.
